JOB SATISFACTION AMONG WORKERS OF VERKA MILK PLANTS IN MALWA REGION OF PUNJAB By Gurinder s. Mangat,Production

Abstract

The present study has been undertaken to estimate the level of job satisfaction among workers of two Verka Milk Plants situated at Bathinda and Sangrur in Punjab by evaluating the role of different socio-economic variables, hygiene factors and motivational factors. The study shows that the job satisfaction of workers is having significant positive correlation with feeling of achievements, recognition, promotion/advancements, possibility of growth and welfare services for both the Milk Plants placed in Malwa region of Punjab. It has been found that 74% workers of Milk Plant, Bathinda and 62% workers of Milk Plant Sangrur are satisfied with their respective jobs. The findings of the study reveal that personal life, working conditions; promotion/advancement and possibility of growth are significantly higher among Bathinda Milk Plant workers as compared to Sangrur Milk Plant workers. .
